Amount Of Money President Uhuru Will Spend to Pay Dowry for His Son Revealed

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s son Jomo married his longtime girlfriend, Fiona Achola in a private Kikuyu traditional wedding that was held in Karen this past weekend .News of the hush-hush high profile wedding attracted a mammoth of best wishes from various quotas on social media. The ceremony was held on Saturday, October 22 and was attended by close friends and family members only.
The country has been talking about the wedding the entire week with more details about the little known lucky girl emerging. Some well guarded details, like how much bride price the president is going to pay also found its way to the public domain .According to our highly placed sources, the president is required to give Achola’s family 99 goats in order for a bride price payment to be considered final, with regards to the Kikuyu norms.

Considering the fact that animals are rarely used as dowry nowadays, the president will have to part with cash money that equates to the number of goats he was initially supposed to give as dowry for his son. Now, if a one goat currently costs around Ksh 10, 000, then the Kenyatta family will have to part with a whooping Ksh 990,000 as dowry to the Achola’s family.

However, it should be noted that the amount of cash can be paid overtime and it is a standard figure that applies to everyone regardless of their wealth.
